  1. Capitalism has never worked in my lifetime and I am over 35, costs go up and wages go down while people work harder, trickle down was a lie.

  2. I’m in my 50s. Capitalism didn’t work out so hot for me, either.

  3. I’m very curious to know what these executives think a generous pay raise is and what they think a reasonable time frame is to go from entry level to management is. Further, I’m curious what the average pay raise is for doing so.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the raises are below inflation rates and that just getting a new job would yield a higher raise than promoting within the same firm.

I am also curious about what the ratio of management hired externally vs. promoted internally is because I have another suspicion that it’s very, very high to the former and very, very low to the latter.

  4. Capitalism has killed more people, and continues to kill more people each year, then any economic system the Earth has ever attempted.

  5. Wages have been soaring. Life has become simpler and more entertaining.

25% of the woes stem from wokeism ; 25% with parents creating the most entitled and whinging children unable to adult; 25% from inflation thanks to the the Democrat response to COVID which jacked up rates and real estate prices; 25% to the lack of control over the political economy; from the intractability of being Israel’s bitch to the hyper competitiveness of everything under the sun; to bipartisan laws that brutalize the little guy; to evil bipartisan billionaires who cannot help but try to privatize massive land holdings to keep out the little guy.

  6. I love capitalism when its allowed to function. Its a huge driver of innovation and self corrects

  7. I’m sure they’ll all point to and praise successful Communist and socialist countries like…

  8. Is it because I’ve been on hold with a company for 3 hrs and have yet to talk to a person? It’s about to be my 13th reason

  9. I’m 45. But it’s not the system. It’s the people in charge of the system. You can exploit the system the way the Gov’t has and expect it to work. We need accountability and structure and regulations. Those have been stripped over my lifetime to almost nothing. You can’t have corporate america involved in writing the laws that govern their own industries. As long as that continues, any system we use will be broken.

  10. Article sucks but Fink’s letter is interesting and insightful honestly.

  11. We don’t have capitalism. We have duopolies and monopolies that own our government. We have “too big to fail” corporations that get backstopped regardless of their actions. We have massive corporate welfare. It’s no wonder why Americans are turning to socialism.

  12. eh, if you’re under 40 and save a bit AND actually comprehend compound interest, you shouldn’t really be disillusioned.

  13. What is good? Been great for me but dogshit for others. And terrible for a large swath of Millenials and younger.

  14. Capitalism is the preferred system, greed however needs to be checked
