I’m hoping that a strong counterattack from Ukraine, once the ground hardens, will be enough to collapse these particular russian lines. If this synopsis is accurate, russia is taking a very cautious, and weak approach by trying to see-saw Ukrainian forces with smaller, less effective forces. If russia had an actual strategic advantage they’d be storming along a single attack vector with everything they had and making strong gains. Instead they are continuing to bleed their troops dry.
