To be fair, there should not be any more new London Underground extensions. Massive infrastructure projects like these run contrary to our climate goals and do not encourage walking or cycling in the same way adding more high-quality cycle lanes do. How about spending the construction money on active travel instead?
Express buses are a great idea. I live a 15 minute walk from the first X68 stop, which has since become a superloop route but isnt part of the loop.
It’s a bit like being in a taxi, the bus uses the bus lanes and chooses whichever route is quickest to get out to West Norwood.
They should have a load of buses which don’t stop until they reach Zone 3.
More plasters for the gaping wound.
Your can’t move for buses from old Kent rd or Lewisham as it is
This has a lot of potential because current bus options like the 136 and 453 are sooo slow stopping everywhere. Would probably be better if it went somewhere in the City and if Old Kent Road was still 30mph though, cool idea nonetheless
Please just extend the Bakerloo
We should have way more of these in South East London.
We need one southbound from elephant stopped only every mile or so. Eg elephant, middle of Walworth road, Camberwell green, Denmark hill, East Dulwich station, dulwich library, Forest Hill etc
Busses stop every 200 yards making it awfully slow to get anywhere.
