Bring in more Muslims and Africans, because they are so smart and move science forward! Diversity is our strength.
Huray! Europe first! 👍 We won, dear Europeans!
Every world map looks like this
That’s so weird. Why there are do few high tech companies in Europe when compared to US and Korea? Where are these innovators?
Germany!?
What an L for the Netherlands at 7th spot couldn’t be us
How are latin American countries so far behind? They have great HDI and countries like Chile, Brazil and Mexico are pretty decently developed no? They are behind countries like India, Vietnam etc who have like 1/4th of their per capita income.
I am shocked Japan is not in the top 10.
Some weird metrics used in GII “Ease of Paying Taxes“, “Public Transportation Access”, “Electricity Output“, “Ease of Protecting Minority Investors” and few others.
I can barely connect some of those to innovation…
Not what you think it is. In fact, in 2023’s WIPO conference in Croatia with ENTRENOVA their research had very clear results that Europe will never be able to compete with the hubs in the world due to European mindset, and laws and regulations. And guess who the #1 contributor to that was ofc? Germany.
The overwhelming majority of ‘innovation’ in Europe is funded and majority owned by foreign corporations. Population is also a screwing factor.
Unless you actually take the time to read into this report, such as the fact that there are yearly themes and the disclaimer of correlation between country size and rank (smaller the country, easier it is to get a high rank), the list is highly misleading.
But don’t take my opinion for it, this is all public info
Can’t wait for the incoming downvotes cause Europeans can once again not handle not being superior. Facts don’t matter in this continent. Unlike the keyboard warriors, I actually participated in the conference because I live here. And ofc, not one person downvoting will be able to offer even a single fact based argument which just further proves my points above and below.
Estonia can into Nordic?
Cope
The swiss are on top
Honest question, how UK is so high in that list with them being so bad at investing in stuff? (Not offensive, really interested). Is that because of top tier universities?
Most Innovative: Australia
Australia
That’s some good stuff. I want some too.
“Dominates”… separate out the US into individual states and see where you land.
California alone dominates.
Is it just me, or is the green of France darker than that of Japan and China, even though its value is higher?
Then we have South Korea in the top 10 but we don’t know its value.
