Utterly ridiculous that Labour claim we have the best offer in the UK when parts go Wales (the bits that don’t vote Labour) don’t get it. If you are going to target the poorest, doing it based on geography is bonkers when you consider that some of the poorest people live across the country. A government that actually cared would have set a high bar for everyone to receive support and would have lowered that bar as time went on.
Instead now we have a system where a family that is doing ok can get support but a parent that is much worse off get nothing because they are in the wrong postcode.
This rollout is taking far too long and the government need to be hammered for falling back on it.
