  1. They are banned but council may not be patrolling that street as they should be.

  2. I recently moved to Manchester from London and nothing infuriates me more than this.

  3. It needs to be a national ban.

So, your car is too wide to fit on the road so you need most of the pavement as well?

Tough shit, bucko. Buy a smaller car.

    Twats.

  4. That actually isn’t allowed.

Parking on the pavement where allowed, fine.

Causing an obstruction is not fine.

The issue is councils don’t give a shit. They’ll likely tell you it’s for the police and the police will tell you it’s the council.

Never understood why people are so precious parking their car like that when they are inviting itchy and scratchy to go party down the sides of the car, defeating the point of so called defensive parking.

  5. How did that Kia driver exit their vehicle and think, yea this is fine?

  6. The main issue in that photo is not parking within designated white lines on the pavement, and people using their gardens as driveways despite being too small so it obstructs the pavement. Traffic wardens should ticket all of those cars and they generally do where I am.

But yes I agree that pavement parking is very irritating in inner London, they should only allow parking on one side of the street but that would upset motorists too much..
