Look at the freedom Ancelotti gave Bellingham this season for example as well as the freedom Rodrygo and Vini continue to have. Whilst at City, Haaland even said in the UCL press conference before the second leg of the Copenhagen match that its part of City's system for him to not touch the ball much. Because of this and because Pep and City don't play transition football, it's limited how much of Haalands overall game we get to see. Peps system is more so pass and move. Remember when he shouted at KDB for dribbling against Madrid for example? Or when he shouted at Haaland after Burnley cos Haaland complained about never getting the ball in transition.

Point is the narrative around him is cos of Peps system. At Dortmund he had incredible final pass numbers at one point. Had a season in the bundesliga averaging 0.4 expected assists per 90 and he had runners around him in a team that plays in transition. And he had freedom there too that he doesnt have at City. Its why Villa Grealish doesn't look the same as City Grealish, etc. It does win trophies but that system limits individual brilliance. Shame we probabaly won't see it at Madrid cos he's a perfect fit with Vini and Bellingham.

Don’t think he will sign for Madrid since Endrick and likely Mbappe are coming but he’d be considered a much better player under a coach that gives players freedom like Ancelotti at Madrid
