Unfortunately the match was insanely dull.
Imagine trying to get a skeptical sports fan into soccer, you hype this game up, and THAT’S what they end up seeing.
that’s a lot of potential football fans we’ll never get back
Oh that’s disastrous for the popularity of the sport in the US

In fairness, every broadcaster has done a piss poor job of tracking streaming views until recently, so I’m taking this with a grain of salt. However, it is good to see that an Easter game that kicked off at 11:30 on the East coast had that many eyes on it.
