  1. Score for Germany! Nuclear fuel and what’s leftover can go into armor piercing ammunition (depleted uranium) for Ukraine. Or, NATO allies would be happy to purchase it at a Greatly Discounted rate and do the same thing with it.

  2. As an American (yes we are still buying Uranium from Russia) Good on Germany, especially if this was headed to US.

    We need to get serious about restarting domestic uranium production and enrichment, $500 million from The HALEU program wasn’t serious. The latest $2.7 billion credit program is a step in the right direction.

    H.R.1042 – Prohibiting Russian Uranium Imports Act ( https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/1042 ) looks to me like a feel good stunt since DOE can just get waivers.

  3. The ship was stopped due to the transport of birch wood, and not because of uranium, as the Ostseezeitung newspaper claims.
