People should ‘move on’ from partygate, says Liz Truss

  1. When families had to be separated from their loved ones and not even able to say goodbye to them whilst your government is having a booze up, I don’t think we can move on Liz.

  2. Loco Liz. No.
My neighbor’s mother died alone and several people I know have been persecuted for breaking those very roles.
I have had enough of their arrogance.

  3. Look, the sooner you accept that there’s one rule for us and another for you plebs, the sooner we can get back to asset stripping the country. Just get over it, yeah?

  4. This government is an embarrassment. Especially looking at things on a wider scale and for this drongo to say people should “move on” shows how out of touch they really are. ANYONE who attended these parties should resign, be named and shamed. Apologise to the country as well, many more families couldn’t attend the funeral of loved ones, the birth of their own children whilst they swig wine behind closed doors, bunch of tossers.

  5. Every Conservative who doesn’t condemn Boris needs to get bored out. Their covering up of his crimes shows they are unsuitable for public office

  6. How about you move on from being a sycophant and acknowledge that what’s happened here is an incredible breach of trust between the British public and the government? The utter disdain we’ve been shown, *as voters*, let me remind you, is absolutely breathtaking – especially in what we were all told was a critical emergency situation which required the utmost care and diligence to prevent certain catastrophe.

Boris wants to be compared to Churchill? Then I would compare what he and his staff have done to Churchill having decided, during a particularly heavy series of German bombing raids, that the best thing to do would be to hold an outdoor all-night rave with the best damn laser show anybody’s ever seen, while everybody else is sitting in the dark trying not to get their house caved in.

  7. Priti Patel: “ministers breaking rules not important as they’re doing hard jobs”. It seems to be working as she still has her job despite her incompetence, and Boris is hunkering down in his bunker afraid to be seen. Trumpian shenanigans.

  8. I don’t think the tories get it. This is a big thing for a lot of people. But for a lot of others it’s just another example of lies and attempts to mislead, and we’ve had enough.

  9. Move along. Nothing worth reading here. Just a stupid woman talking bollocks as usual and insulting everyone.

  10. Lol she’s so one dimensional that she can’t even shut up and let the rats drown themselves at a time when party members are muttering leadership contest

    Classic Liz

    **pork** *m^a^^r^^^k^^e^^^^^t^^^s!*

  11. Ah hello Liz, thank you lifting your head out of parapet to let us know that you are going to be contending for the next leadership election. Also, thank you letting us know, that if you do happen to win and become our next Prime Minster, we can all expect the same unashamed abysmal performance as your potential predecessor. If you could kindly burrow underneath your rock again that would be greatly appreciated.

  12. Fucking hate it when politicians try to tell people what to think / care about, as well as what to do…

  13. Yes, I agree. The VIP lane was much more important, much more damaging, and much more expensive. Let’s talk about that.

  14. Liz 110% attended multiple parties and is afraid it’ll topple her already weak leadership bid. The nostalgia pics comparing her to Margaret Thatcher (milk snatcher) won’t be enough otherwise.

  15. THEY’VE CONFESSED TO THE QUEEN.. but the met police still says there’s not enough evidence ! What the fuck is going on here !!!!!

  16. “Move on”? Sure, once everyone who was at the parties is moved on from their jobs, barred from holding another job in public service and pays a fine. That seems like an reasonable minimum.

People who set the standard need to be held to it the most strictly. We aren’t talking about a “mistake” in any normal terms of the definition. They had social events again and again, repeated contravention of their own laws and advice prohibiting them. Even one such event at No. 10 would be inexcusable, even if Johnson hadn’t attended. It’s his house, his government and the buck stops with him.

  17. My dad was in hospital alone for 2 weeks before he passed away and he never even had covid.

I’ll get over it when the Tories that went to a party slither back in their holes and hide for 18 months before daring to show their lizard faces in the sunshine.

    Fuck the Tories.

  18. I could not visit my 22 year old friend when he was dying of cancer due to covid restrictions. But do go on about how we should not be upset over ‘partygate’, you heartless turd.
