I have no idea what it does. A red light comes on when I flip the switch and a light humming sound. Don't notice anything else.

  1. Most likely floor heating, or other electric heating method. Usually red light mean that it’s active and heating towards wanted temperature setting (0-6 in this case) and should turn green once wanted temperature is reached. Should be on all the time, maybe in the lowest setting possible.

  2. Bathroom/shower floor heating.
    Very common thing.
It’s mostly there so pipes don’t freeze winter and you can go in not wearing socks in the morning without freezing your toes on the cold floor.

  3. Most definetly floor heating for the bathroom. Has to be always ON so the floor properly dries up. You can set it to lowest number though.

In case of you like comfort and warm floor you can set it up higher but it also increases electricity cost. Takes few hours to warm up though (then light changes to green)

  4. Electric floor heating, main reason is to speed up drying of the floor after you showered. Some people like to crank it up for warm feeling floor, but it costs.

Even tho your apartment is otherwise heated otherway and included in the rent, that floor heating is used by electricity and you pay it in your electricity bill.

Usually it should be kept 2-3 on winter and 1-2 on summer with that kind of scale to avoid moisture staying too long after shower.

  6. It’a a mold summoning device. Turn it off and mold will appear in a few years.

  7. It adjusts the size of your masculine device, according to your wishes and desires. Usually in the morning it dwindles and the better food you have, the size increases. But there are few usages in Finland as you can’t find any Finnish girls to use your device!

  8. Don’t use it because it uses electricity that is not paid by the housing company, you have to pay it yourself. Then move out in a couple years so there won’t be any issues for you.

  9. It’s the penile elongator. Just stick your dick into the hole in the wall and adjust to your preference. One of the best things invented by the Finns.

  10. If your dad left for milk you touch this and he will come back

  11. I have that same thing in my bathroom. Doesn’t heat the floor until it clicks even though the red light is on.

  12. we have the same thing and it’s used to configure the heating of the floor. We don’t use it tho

  13. thats a floor heating controller I have one in my. bathroom its a luxury during the winter lemme tell ya

  14. Intercom. You can call to other apartments bathrooms. /s

The real answer is that you can adjust the bathroom floor warming with this. If the light is red, it is warming the floor and when it’s green it has reached the desired setting. Should be on and set so like the floor doesn’t feel cold. Should be around room temperature to allow the floor to dry quickly. Remember that the cost of using this is shown in your personal electric bill.

  15. It’s a thermostat for floor heating in the bathroom.

I recommend keeping it always on but on low. It’ll help dry out the floor and it prevents moisture damage.

It’s also comfier for your feet.
