1. Another geoengineering fantasy from NYT?

   *No no, you see, we can keep doing what we’ve been doing to the obvious detriment of the planet if we start doing this untested thing! Surely we are as gods!*

   This is the kind of thinking that would bring a flamethrower to a Mexican standoff in an oil refinery.

2. Let’s build a shield. Like in Highlander 2. That worked out well.

3. What a desperate attempt to let us hang on to our precious fossil fuels. All for an idea that sounds like a great way to engineer us right out of global heating into a new ice age with a sky full of clouds reflecting sunlight away from Earth. We know the true solution, we just can’t stand to do it.

4. I keep thinking about the saying from 3 Body Problem. . .

   That we are no longer capable of solving our problems, or saving ourselves.

   Maybe it’s a bit doomer, but all I see is complex problem after complex problem and no collective desire to address them in earnest.
