There’s people who have directly and willfully destroyed the life of a vulnerable person (aggravated burglary, sexual abuse etc) who got lesser sentences. I’m not in the “legalise it” brigade but Christ if this doesn’t seem disproportionate to the lack of direct harm caused.

Given the sentences routinely handed down to paedophiles, rapists and violent offenders this sentence is a bit much. If us good citizens weren’t using cannabis there’d be no market.

Some of the judges I’ve seen are either in pockets or abnormally cruel with their sentencing. Is there any channel to go about reporting judges for their appalling judgements and track records and why aren’t we as a nation up in arms about all this?
Selling a bit of weed, something that is becoming more and more legalised across the world isn’t some hardened offender and they’re likely not out there in gangs or causing trouble, but it’s enough to get you 8-10 years.

The fella who stabbed a man in front of his two daughters got the same sentence as this. And he appealed it lately and got a something like 18 months suspended off it. What a fucking joke of a justice system.
