1. The event took place outside the European Parliament building in Brussels in March 2024. On the left speaking is Reinhard Bütikofer MEP of the European Green Party. On the right is Danish artist Jens Galschiøt, creator of the sculpture.

14. There is a genocide in open daylight by Israel killing way more people and the only thing EU does is send “outraged” remarks. No real action taken while Israel is told to investigate themselves and report back lol.

    I honestly can’t believe they care about what happened in China all the way back in 1989. They don’t even care about what’s happening right now.

15. It’s the sculpture that used to be in Hong Kong but was removed due to CCP influence. I am happy to see the sculpture is preserved and exhibited despite the efforts of CCP to bury their evil history in the ground.

27. I like the idea of a memorial but I really dislike the art.

    Horrible done… this is so “Europe”. We have good ideas and then we let do somebody sloppy work without creativity and pay a lot for it.

    To take an existing sculpture looks like a good idea at first. But if you think about it it isen’t. Don’t copy something coming from China even if that was build against the regime.

    This should be a no brainer why not to do that but come up with something unique.
