Look at this, you can’t sign up to be a copper if you have so called offensive tattoos, and you’re ruled out instantly if you have a neck or face tattoo.
I have a good friend called Tim who was near enough forced into getting a spiderweb face tattoo, he’s the nicest guy going but would be discriminated against and ruled out instantly from being a copper under these rules.
It’s not on.
Presumably a tattoo of the Ipswich Town FC crest is deemed offensive!
Tim might well be lovely, and may well make an excellent police officer, but that doesn’t mean that Tim’s appearance won’t scare the living shit out of the little old lady he has to take a statement from after she’s been the victim of a crime.
Aye absolute shite in this modern day world we live in, how tattoos are still offensive but all the other “progressive” shite isn’t is beyond me
The institution needs rebuilding from the ground up anyway, it’s an old boys club at the top levels, which means rules like this about tattoos, and all the fucked up shit with the Met lately.
