US is warning allies that China has stepped up its support for Russia — providing satellite imagery for military purposes, machine tools for tanks, propellants to be used in missiles, increased space cooperation — to help Moscow in its war against Ukraine, sources told

Keep “de-escalating” more and Axis of Evil will keep on tightening.
Why won’t they, if they see that Western reaction is primarily limited to backpedaling?
The only way to stop this and prevent even worse shit from unfolding is an actually stern ***ACTION*** and support to Ukraine.

>Joseph Wu, the foreign minister of Taiwan, said on Thursday that a halt in U.S. arms shipments to Ukraine would embolden China in its aggressions against Taiwan and fuel propaganda from Beijing that the United States is an unreliable partner. “When people ask us whether it is OK for the United States to abandon Ukraine, the answer is no, because the world is operating not in a black-and-white way, or if you only look at one theater at a time,” he said. “The world is interconnected.” If Russia is able to occupy more of Ukraine and claim victory, he added, “it would be seen as a victory of authoritarian states because Russia, China, North Korea and Iran, they are now linked together.” Mr. Wu’s comments, made in a wide-ranging hourlong interview in Taipei, come as the Biden administration tries to get Congress to pass a supplemental funding package that would give $60 billion of aid to Ukraine.
>Many House Republicans are staunchly opposed to giving more aid to Ukraine, adopting the “America First” posture embraced by former President Donald J. Trump, a pro-Russia candidate who has pressed them to reject the package. For months they claimed they would be willing to consider providing more assistance for Kyiv if the Biden administration imposed severe immigration restrictions at the United States border with Mexico. But at Mr. Trump’s urging, they balked at a funding package that would have done that, calling the border measures too weak.
>The package also includes $8 billion of aid to counter China in the Asia-Pacific region, $1.9 billion of which would refill stocks of U.S. weapons sent to Taiwan. And it includes $14.1 billion of military aid to Israel. Some Republican lawmakers contend that China is a bigger threat than Russia and that the funding proposed for Ukraine should go toward countering China. But other Republican officials in Congress and many Democrats make the same argument as Mr. Wu: that Taiwan’s security is linked to that of Ukraine, because China will see weakness on the part of the United States — and a greater chance of success in a potential invasion of Taiwan — if Ukraine is defeated. Chinese leaders have said for decades that Taiwan, a de facto independent island, must be brought under the rule of the Communist Party, by force if necessary. Xi Jinping, China’s leader, has continued to promote that position.
>The U.S. and Taiwanese governments have been trying to deter China from notions of invading Taiwan, including through military buildup in the region and bolstering alliances with other democratic nations. If the United States abandons Ukraine, Mr. Wu said, China will “take it as a hint” that if it can keep up sustained action against Taiwan, “the United States is going to back off, the United States and its allies are going to back off.” The thinking among Chinese officials would be this, he said: “OK, since Russia could do that, we can do that as well.” “So the U.S. determination in providing support to those countries suffering from authoritarian aggression, it is very important,” Mr. Wu said. After U.S. troops withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021, China pushed propaganda through traditional state-run media and social media that “the U.S. commitment to anything is not firm,” Mr. Wu said. “We suffered from a huge wave of cognitive warfare.”
>China has also spread disinformation stressing Russian narratives of the war, Mr. Wu said, including the idea that the expansion of NATO forced President Vladimir V. Putin to attack Ukraine, and that the United States is ultimately not committed to supporting Ukraine.
>On the eve of Russia’s invasion in February 2022, Mr. Putin visited Mr. Xi in Beijing, and their two governments announced a “no limits” partnership. Mr. Wu said some Central and Eastern European nations seeking to forge anti-authoritarian partnerships had strengthened their relations with Taiwan during the war. His comments on the need for the United States to keep supporting Taiwan echo those of other senior Taiwanese officials. In May 2023, Bi-khim Hsiao, then Taiwan’s de facto ambassador to the United States and now the incoming vice president, made similar arguments to reporters in Washington. And in February, Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi, Democrat of Illinois, said during a visit of American lawmakers to Taiwan that the current president, Tsai Ing-wen, and the president-elect, Lai Ching-te, made clear to the lawmakers that “if for some reason the Ukrainians do not prevail, that will only encourage hostilities against Taiwan.”
Not to mention:
>[“Ukraine’s survival is Taiwan’s survival. Ukraine’s success is Taiwan’s success,” Taiwan’s representative in Washington, Bi-khim Hsiao, told the McCain Institute’s Sedona Forum last weekend. “Our futures are closely linked.”](https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/05/10/taiwan-defense-ukraine-russia-china/)
They aren’t separating their partnership will escalate into selling fighter jets or providing everything needed to build a naval fleet etc.
Central Asian countries will be a mix of Chinese and Russian influence there will be attemps to regain control of these despite their wish to pull away. Possibly in the Chinese direction seeing as Russia will crack down on visas.
It’s a problem if China provides all their military needs, there will be coersion into proxy states.
Russia and China wish to split the world in two. Hope we don’t notice complain when restrictions are placed etc.
I guess unless China faces a reality check, sanctions tarrifs will only grow sooner than later before they experience full benefit of economic ties to transition their economy into a more powerful country.
China wishes to benefit from western trade and alliences with Russia north Korea and Iran.
Strange Russia sees their future growing in a multipolar world and Chinas will be limited and yet they’re friends China wants the multi polar world too but wants to gain the benefits from the current one they live in then separating to further compete with the west in their new squad.
If this multi polar world is to exist it should start now sanctions and tariffs now to limit Chinas strength when ties are eventually cut.
China wouldn’t be taking these steps unless they agree they know a wall of tarrifs and sanctions coming eventually.
Inevitable really due to distrust and competition. Doesn’t seem to be a way out of it.
Their future will come early. There will be more blinken and yellen and the US will have their sanctions and tarrifs.
Maybe US needs trump, he’s a psychopath negotiations are simpler he’ll be tough on chiiinnna bkdrn will sort middle east and israel out then trump China. The US split personality tag team. Netenyahu gone before US elections and EU to heavily prop up Ukraine trump could fail and US take tougher China stance anyway.
Could all work out like we are winging societies evolution.
It’s possibly trump will be beneficial for EU evolution over a trump presidency they’d majorly step up become more self reliant, politically, militarily
China’s goal is to be ultimately internationally essential to the world’s economy integral, then they are no longer a waitress in the service industry they will expert their political power globally, why fhey wish to keep Russia on side.
They only become economically valuable if the west enables it to occur, diversification of supply chains tariffs, sanctions, taxes and subsidies on their own industries can prevent it occurring. Keeps competition even with an artificially lowered yuen and their rapid implementation of AI and robotics making mass production and automation cheaper. Western nations can still compete in their own markets. This model will be widely adopted in other countries too. Perhaps ammendments to trade agreements needed to ensure peace and trade with China to prevent it all spiraling.
China would feel better if they layed all the shit the west does to them on the table publicise it and the west should too.
If they aren’t integral essential then they’re just another participant in the world and they can be stopped if they get aggressive.
Competition is like a disease but is also what has rapidly evolved our society but it also risks ending it.
Can’t there be a UN trade body a referee or something.
From a purely practical point of view people shouldn’t trust trade with countries who have dictators. End of day Chinese interests in south China sea and Taiwan alone will see all the things I mentioned applied as there’s a future risk of aggression and war that will upend the world
Until China changes that stance there will be economic division and that’s on a basic level.
Rapid integration of AI and robotics along with us pressed yuen will collapse industries across the world due to mass production and automation bringing down prices there may be 100 million jobless in China but many more World wide. Due to the jobless it’ll trigger a global recession due to badly managed implementation and unregulated trade practices all so China can gain marketshare wealth and power
This is a big problem coupled with Taiwan and bullying in south China sea so to prevent it there will be tariffs subsidies taxes and sanctions on China along with increased military cooperation in the south China sea and closer economic ties between them
So xi has made a recession in China inevitable Uniting his neighbours and made it impossible for them to ever get Taiwan to rejoin China.
It’s global recession and war or solely recession in china and slowed economic output and its Xi’s fault.
It’s his choice if he still wishes to rapidly implement AI and robotics ahead of everyone else instigating a potential 100 million job losses during their recession. But it isn’t recommended. He will however move vast amounts of wealth from abroad in investments and recalled loans but I doubt there will be a recession.
China will have better days but it won’t be Xi’s dream of a great leap forward. It likely will reinforce temporary measures to transition to an AI world and could cause permement division economically and multi polar world if Xi responds by withdrawing investments and wealth. It would be another step in self harming out of anger and perhaps some necessary to prop up their economy.
They feel like Meg in family guy the bullied of the family, may act out fall in with bad boy crowds.
Only way is a mutual plan and move forward together they have to curtail a plan of rapid AI and robotics implementation and accept some initial tarrifs on certain industries as like it or not the AI and robotics revolution is already here in some industries such as automotive industry.
I don’t think they will slow down but customers don’t have to purchase so the west has a right to implement tariffs and sanctions to protect their industries.
WWIII begins, just what we fucking need right now.
Best to go all in now with support for Ukraine.
So sanction China.
Cut china out of our supply chains and unleash pirates on all their shipping. Do it now
The US warns while failing to provide aid themselves. Not really helpful right now.
China was holding back, not wanting to back a losing horse.
Now that Putin’s placemen in Washington are strangling the Ukrainian military, backing Russia doesn’t look like such a bad bet after all.
Fuck Johnson…FUCK JOHNSON…These cunts actually want The US to be weak. The weaker they look the more Trump can claim that The US is doomed.
It’s pure treason.
This also shows just how pathetic Russia is.
russia collapse doesnt nothin for china at all, a strong russia will help given that russia has a lot of natural resources and arctic reach
Time to de orbit their eyes
The West is sleeping.
So that means it’s fair game for countries to aid Ukraine without worrying about escalation, right? Right guys??
They need Ruzzia to win so they can attack Taiwan. This is a world at war.
To be fair i remember similar stories since 2022 with china selling satellite data about Ukrainian troop locations to russia along with selling equipment and cooperating with propaganda narratives.
Every country that supports Ukraine needs to stop buying and investing in China. Simple….
The 6th grade reading level republicans among us are often times too dumb to even understand how they help the free worlds enemies
Lots of the arguments used by Maga against Ukraine could just as well be used against support to Taiwan.
Thanks USA and Europe, esp republicans and European far right putinist parties. You are traitors and/or useful idiots and just willingly giving away world power to dictator pieces of shit.
China stepping up to help Russia, US is steeping down from supplying Ukraine. Can’t believe this shit!
Called it
Announce that all trade with China is undergoing review due to China’s support of Russia’s brutal war of imperialism against Ukraine. Stop letting the other guys write the script.
Theyre not “helping russia” as much as theyre “making a shitload of money off of a desperate dictator”
Fk the ccp and fk winni but i genuinely dont think china cares who wins that war. They’re getting cheap gas and selling overpriced, low quality equipment. Russia is using up nato back stock and keeping eyes on europe.
If russia loses, china will pretend to care then move on.
It’s a good thing the west didn’t do something stupid like becoming complete dependent on China when it comes to manufacturing. After all, doing something stupid like that certainly would make it hard for the west to sanction China.
That is an indication of a Cold War with the US. By bolstering Russia China is ensuring the US remains distracted in the Ukraine and continues to pour in billions worth of supplies and cash that can’t be used in other military interests.
As a consumer, how do you boycott China? Serious question. For Russia it’s as simple as driving less, turning the heat down and other things to do with fossil. What about China?
Fuck you USA for your failure to support Ukraine. Never to be trusted again.
China has decided the West is weak.
It’s like USA is the bystander at an accident scene shouting you better call an ambulance now but refuse to pull out their own handphone to make a call.
China is so dumb for this. They economically benefit and via influence benefit from a weaker Russia.
West will also distrust China even further, moving supply chains out of China, more cooperation against China in the South China Sea area.
If China had played nice and evolved they could be a behemoth of a country. Think of China today. Double it’s economic, influential, and military strength. That could’ve been China.
Yeah, looks like Putin is in a more advantageous position now, so they are backing him. F*ck the CCP.
The support in drone supplies has been strong since day one…

China ramping up while, NATO is holding back.?
This is what’s wrong in the world. Good men do nothing while women and children are getting bombed.
