Listening to music without headphones is punishable by fine and/or jail on the DC metro, would be nice to see TFL implement this too

  1. Could add video calls and phone calls on speaker while they’re at it

  2. And you can’t even have a sip from a bottle of water during a heatwave?

  3. No audio/video without headphones. So I can’t scroll through cat pictures on Instagram without wearing headphones?

  4. “What you in for mate?”

“Toploader on the central line without headphones”

  5. We don’t even catch fare dodgers enough, who is going to enforce this?

  6. For the animal part, there should be an animal car in the back
Of the train for non service animals. Not many drivers do Uber pets since Uber charges £5 more but only give £1-2 extra yo the driver

  7. Fine? Jail? Nah mate, put their heads on a pole and exhibit them at the tower of London.

  8. No animals? How are people supposed to be encouraged to take public transport if you’re not allowed your pet fucking dog? Dumb shit.

  9. Honestly, I’d rather they added the no littering rule. People can be such pigs on tfl.

  10. Lovely but …
    – When was the last time you saw police on the tube, apart from at the gates catching fare dodgers?
    – Fare dodging is punishable by a fine/ jail but people still do it

Fines are a way for the rich to break laws, education on the other hand is a much better deterrent.

  11. The amount of times on a train I have to listen to loud tik tok videos, 40minutes of it. And I know trains are not the quietest places but phones sound different than general chit chat.

  12. I hate people playing music on loudspeaker as much as the next person.

But in the thousands of TfL journeys I’ve made in my lifetime it’s something that I have actually seen very rarely.

I get it it’s super annoying especially if you don’t wear headphones, but an offence deserving of jail time? I don’t see it.

A fine is a fair penalty though, I wouldn’t be against a £100 ticket for passengers caught by BTP officers playing loud music on trains.

  13. Make it all public transport. If I have to hear another yout blaring TikTok at full volume, I’m going to do something drastic, like sit there in complete silence and say nothing on the matter at all.
