I was quite surprised to read the New York Times reporting on restaurants in Le Brassus. The article is quite interesting and gave me some perspective on a part of Switzerland i seldomly go to. But I cannot imagine this being useful to their traditional audience.
Is anything special going on there, or maybe the journalist was just there for other interviews (AP? Swatch?) and just took the opportunity do do a side gig?

Le Brassus is the headquarters of one of the very high end luxury watch companies «Audemars Piguet». Since they mention watches, that’s probably the reason they were there. Patek Philippe also has a building there.
Other then that, there’s not much going on. It’s very nice, but very out in the country. Personally, I prefer the restaurants at the end of Lac de Joux.
