  1. _Younger British people in the 18-24 age group are least likely to support the monarchy’s retention._ My gut feeling is that it’s probably been that way since at least WW1, but as people age many of them ‘come around to the idea’. Pretty much analogous with the journey from socialism to wishy washy Starmerism to thinking ‘isn’t Rishi Sunak a lovely young man?’.

  2. If a major spokesperson for my company was locked in a legal battle where he was overwhelmingly likely to be found to be a pedophile and his defense was this terrible, he’d have been sacked months go.

    This is the opposite of decisive. It’s too little too late.
