It only took three years to build and cost £82,117 (worth £8,938,027.71 in 2024) and it’s been 5 years and £13 million just to stop it from degrading further.
They could have knocked it down and built a bridge fit for the Twenty First Century that hasn’t been damaged by three lots of bombs.
But we can’t do that because it’s bloody 2* listed.
Announcement just before the London Mayoral election is of course totally coincidental.
