Inter is the better version of our play style, Maybe Inzaghi and Marotta did better job than our manager and sporting director at tactics and buying players. Maybe its just short term "luck" but its very unfortunate that someone else beats Allegri at his own game during this 3 year tenure. I think that lot of factors would have prevented us from winning the title during last year's Napoli freak run and this years Inter run, so im just trying to say that all that would have been easier to digest if we played better for the eye. It’s no surprise at all, Inzaghi is basically the updated version of Allegri and Is great at boosting teams with a good squad. Give him good players and he’s just going to make it work, he was never about shiny fluid football but Inter plays well as a result of their solidity on both ends.
I think it’s totally possible. It’s just that we always hire the same type of coaches + they’ve to be italian. That’s also why I think getting Motta won’t change much, as he will just fall in line with our traditional boring ahh football. What we need is a coach with a completely different mindeset, someone who can give us a new identity, which is desperately needed. It’s 2024 and we still play 90s football, this can’t be.
