  1. **TLDR:**

    * **President Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine would lose the war if the US didn’t send it more aid.**
    * **House Republicans have been stalling on a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine.**
    * **”It is necessary to specifically tell Congress that if Congress does not help Ukraine, Ukraine will lose,” he said.**

  2. wars, especially modern ones, require a shit ton of products, from shoes to bullets. i remember when the united states invaded iraq (the second time) there were constant reports of shortages of everything you could think of.

  3. I like Zelenskyy, but it’s not necessarily true. But news like this is meant for the average american, so that they put more pressure on their congressmen (and women)

  4. “Straight-up.” Jesus, who writes these headlines? A teenager?

  5. Guess where are the russians going to put all their effort into.

The republicans must be celebrating the amount of cash they are going to get from this.

  6. Johnson is killing Ukrainians by continuing his obstruction of the Aid Bill. These GOP speakers have no issues ignoring the will of the American people US National Security be damned. Time to rid the American Congress of do-nothing obstructionist Russian dictator loving fascist lying cheating racist misogynist right stripping -GOP’ers. Vote Blue in November. Because A Vote for the GOP is a Vote Against Democracy.

  7. They don’t wanna send aid because they want more money for the border at the same time?

bull fucking shit, you want to stall because you want to help putin win you sad little traitors.

  8. This sounds like a headline from Idiocracy. “YO mufuka straight up said they was gonna lose!” Oh shit!”

  9. Russia will begin a siege of Kharkiv and it will be a level of destruction not seen in our life times.

Kharkiv is a massive city. It is a priority city. Ukraine will go to great lengths to save it, Russia will go to a great length to take it / destroy it.

This will probably determine the war as both armies will break their back here for a win.

  10. This is on Europes doorstep! Why are they not sending more aid????????

  11. So many defenders lives lost, and it seems it will be for naught, because their victory never depended on them in the first place, but on political situation on the other side of the world.

    War never changes.

  12. well yeah, isn’t that the point? Republicans want Ukraine to lose.

  13. so lets play revisionist historian – lets say the US decided to leave NATO 4 years ago (this isn’t even a Trump thing, just a hypothetical what if), based on this, Russia would have been able to reach the Atlantic Ocean before Europe could spool up their war machine?

How does the entirety of Europe not have ‘things’ to send them? I support sending Ukraine weapons, I support smashing Putin to dust, but wtf europe?

  14. I’m all for helping Ukraine but zelenskyy can fuck off calling the US out specifically. The last figure I saw had the US sending 4 times more than aid than any other singular country. I don’t understand how the US is being condemned for the same conversations every other country is having in their congress. What does zelenskyy expect us to do if they continue losing the war even if we do send the money? What does the world expect us to do? Do we idly by and let Russia take over Ukraine? I don’t want boots on the ground, but I honestly don’t think financial aid is going to be enough.

  15. If the frontline collapses and russians start to advance towards Kyiv it’s going to be a nightmare for ukranians.

If western allies abandon Ukraine now it’s going to be so much worse than if they didn’t help in the first place.

The russians at the beginning of the war wanted to occupy the land and make it a part of Russia – for their imperialistic reasons. It wasn’t personal.

Now, after 2 years of war, there is so much hate in Russia towards ukranians that it wouldn’t surprise me if they commit a genocide. An actual old school genocide with concentration camps and hundreds of thousands dead.

  16. The Russian troll farms are hard at work in these comments

  17. More and more it’s looking like a reality that the west is going to let Ukraine lose. I don’t get it. Even if we were the most sociopathic bastards possible it would still be in our best interest to give weapons to Ukraine and let them do the dying rather than risk having to send our own troops when Ukraine falls and Russia decides to take its next bite.

  18. Speaker Johnson and Marjorie Taylor Green will be remembered as the ones to block that aid.

  19. It’s funny how the Western countries talk about unity and strength, meanwhile we see more unity from Russia, North Korea, Iran and in the back door with China too. They supply Russia with tons of drones, money and ammo whenever Russia needs it.

It’s a disgrace to see democracy countries failing to support fellow allies, when dictator and fascist countries band together.

  20. Republicans and Trump supporters should be ashamed!

Reagan would be absolutely disgusted by these Russian dictator bootlickers.

  21. I don’t get how they are trying to put the whole war funding on the states, seems kind of crazy.

  22. Any aid we were thinking of sending Israel should go to Ukraine now.

  23. Its getting pretty tiring being the ones who constantly and endlessly have to fund entire countries governments and militaries until the end of time. Can we focus on our own country for just once?

  24. Write your congressional representatives people. Regardless of how hopeless that seems and as stupid as their copy pasta responses are, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

    The more noise the better

  25. Sorry, but we can’t save your democratic state, we’re currently funding a genocide.

  26. Republicans openly working for Vlad Putin was not something I thought I’d see in my lifetime but here we are

  27. This is becoming the next Vietnam war situation for US I guess, financially :/
