Asked for a refund on a tap because my partner “didn’t like the colour” from a very large DIY store

  1. I mean, they’re not wrong. Being “upset” over the colour of a tap is a bit overdramatic too.

  2. I work in customer service, I fucking wish I could say this to certain customers lol

  3. Come on sunshine, where’s your original email to them because it sounds like an appropriate response if you said your partner was upset by the colour of a tap, give us some context🙂

  4. Bet that’s an auto reply with a sprinkling of LLM generated personality.

  5. Did you order this online or was it an in person purchase?

  6. This is how people should be spoken to and we shouldn’t be such fannies about it

  7. Tbh I’m returning many things my partner has bought out of her own choice….. Consulting only helps so much

  8. That’s hilarious. A hero among customer service reps. The shite they have to listen to is ridiculous. Lets see the email you sent because I’m willing to bet it’s a lot more dramatic than you made out if that’s the reply you got.

  9. I bet you thought the exact same thing as the customer service rep.

  10. Why did you have to contact them to return it? I’m assuming this is B&Q or something with several stores nationwide.

  11. And you didn’t even have a tap to cool off that burn lol

  12. As a retail worker, my heart soars and I wish this person every success.

  13. Spot on as you are time waster and don’t need upset about it! Move on or change your partner 😂😂😂

  14. “The customer is always right in matters of taste” or not apparently 😂

  15. Come on OP we all want to see that original email you sent 😆

  16. I mean, I don’t see where they’re wrong. People are so entitled these days because of places like Amazon

  17. Why censor the letters DIY from the website? Clearly B&Q!

  18. My late boss once told a complaining customer to “go and find a house to haunt, you’ve got the face for it”

He could be a right arsehole but that was a zinger

  19. Nothing will ever beat the Sandals response to Katie Price after she criticised her honeymoon with them.

‘Sandals Resorts is disappointed that Ms Price was not happy with her stay and as a gesture of goodwill are willing to offer her a refund on condition that she does not choose our resorts for any future weddings or stays’

  20. To be fair, they have called you a cockwomble but have used nicer terminology. Good on them.
