Cut down everything: since the beginning of the war, Russians have destroyed 60,000+ hectares of forests worth ~ UAH 14 billion in the territories they occupy, according to an investigation by NGL media. Donetsk and Luhansk regions were the most affected.

  15. That is not cut down. The trees have died due to artillery bombardment. The fights in Kreminna forests have been absolutely brutal since January 2023.

  16. Nazis were stealing Ukrainian topsoil by freight trains during WW2 occupation. Ruzzians are stealing lumber and cut down scrap metal from the industrial equipment. Scum of the earth.

  19. Are they cutting the forests down for wood or are they just destroying it in the course of war?

  20. Forests regrow very quickly but the mines scattered about will make pruning them to optimize their future production a very risky task.
