The Greens don’t stand a chance of winning any Scottish Westminster seats, so the SNP would not offer them anything in exchange for their support. It’s not as though Green-driven policies at Holyrood have helped the SNP, they’ve mostly been unpopular and/or failures.
Are they content now that they’ve destroyed the SNPs electoral chances by distracting them away from the sole reason the party exists?
The greens are and always have been opportunists. If Labour are successful at winning enough seats to form a government watch how quickly the supposedly pro independence greens jump into bed with them for a chance of more power.
Bute House Agreement will be torn up by any future SNP leader and won’t survive this current Holyrood Parliament. There’s too much they _don’t_ have in common and the SNP have arguably been forced into things they’d rather not do.
When Labour are elected at Westminster, if they do a decent job then SLab might make inroads in Holyrood. The Greens will likely latch onto the winner.
Separate political party contests election. More on this, later.
Would have been nice to see this from the other direction but Scotland should be happy and take what it can get. The greens are an absolute discgrace for this country and are spearheading identity politics as a mainline issue above real problems like economy and poverty.
Good riddance. May we never see their like again. And the SNP inner-party that sides with them need to be removed too.
Green have been a bad coalition partner for the SNP. Will be interesting what happens in the future.
Westminster election doesn’t really matter for either party but when Holyrood elections come around will be interesting to see what happens. They kind of need each other in Holyrood.
