  1. Well damn if you’re gonna say something like that give some examples

  2. I can’t take seriously anything someone says who sells vagina scented candles.

  3. lol this is rich coming from one of the most dull actresses in hollywood

  4. I always thought it was interesting they killed off the two most popular characters in the MCU at one time. Like who could’ve predicted Marvel’s fall after that?

  5. They’re going to make another ironman and it’s going to suck.

  6. Remember when Paltrow pretended she didn’t know she’d been in those movies?

  7. The way he talks, it’s almost impossible to write for him / ironman across so many movies and keep it so consistent. It’s easier for him to make it his own. He has to improv or at least put his own spin on things.

I remember seeing the BTS footage of Fincher going over the social network screenplay with Justin Timberlake and Sorkin and it was cool to see the edits he made, because Fincher was cutting lines that Sorkin wrote that came off so cheesy – thankfully. It happens, all for the better.

  8. Given how declaratively he said “yeah totally”, compared to interviews in the past, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already signed something

  9. Just googled to see what he got an Oscar for and noticed that he was nominated for best supporting actor for Tropic Thunder lol

  10. My problem is the immediate attention on the idea that bringing back actors like Robert Downey junior will restore “box office draw” and fix the problems. No, it won’t. You can’t undo 5 years of horrible writing, worse movies, and terrible shows. You can’t blip that shit away because you killed thanos. You killed everyone. And now you have to sit on your sinking ship.

  11. Amateurs seek the sun, get eaten. Power stays in the shadows.

  12. It doesn’t matter anymore. Disney + is the worst thing that’s ever happened to marvel. Trash content overload.

  13. Guess they could go all meta have RDJR return to fight Disney plus to save a franchise. Him and Terrence Howard reunite to find Favreau who’s off doing a Mando movie.

  14. If there’s any actor and any company that would agree and engage in next level de-aging FX, it’s these two. It doesn’t matter if the character was killed — imagine: RDJ for a one off prequel-esque film, maybe less action and more serious drama even…maybe Downey would even direct, Favreau would write, and it would appear on one of those Marvel offshoot banners. Now that would sell tickets.

  15. Anyone remember when RDJ said Avengers was a movie (or film, I don’t remember) but Age of Ultron was just content? It was just last year, I think.

I was so puzzled by that, because I instantly thought he was coming from critical standpoint that there was too much content because everyone was saying that at the time, and that didn’t make any sense.

I think what he was thinking about when he said it was the studio’s interference with Age of Ultron.

The point is that he really liked Avengers but not AoU, so he was keeping tabs on the quality of the movies made, regardless that they were in the same franchise. He just said it very controversially. That no one picked up on for some reason.

  16. What if what he rejected was the line:

“Time to use my iron boner.”

Well then, I would be okay with that kind of filter.

  17. “Certainly, Downey’s return as Iron Man could restore Marvel to its blockbuster glory days.”

I think good writing with Downey’s return would restore Marvel. Plus, none of that woke trash.
