   Not sure what kind of rifle it is but that doesnt seem like its what I would want for clearing trenches

4. Almost certainly a Mosin-Nagant, which are still outfitted as sniper rifles…so it is not that odd that it could be seen in front-line combat areas.

   These rifles have an interesting history and were used by the Soviets in both WWI & WWII as standard issue.
