‘Only 24 more Tory MPs needed’ to trigger no confidence vote in Boris Johnson

  1. 24? It’s not going to happen then, is it?

A few nudges and winks down the club, bit of a back scratch, and called “Good”.

  2. Email to your tory MP (include your full address). Doesn’t matter if they are the bland party line followers type and in safest of seats.

They need to know the anger felt. Lots of emails from constituents might get them to speak out.

Keep it polite as it’s easy to dismiss swear letters and include examples of sacrifices you made if you can.

  3. They know that Labour (maybe with LD) could sweep next election given current polling – and the chances of Boris disappointing the public even more before then are pretty high.

There are a lot who are still to come out. Team Theresa for a start, Harriet Baldwin etc, who all despise him.

Look at this poll which doesn’t even cover the Prince Philip funeral parties!… https://www.politico.eu/europe-poll-of-polls/united-kingdom/

  4. I doubt it will happen because of any sense of moral outrage. Johnson will be removed as soon as it is felt he is an electoral liability. No other reason.

  5. How many Tory MP’s have the balls to look around them and say to themselves “This is a cluster fuck. We can do better than this?”

My guess is very few because their emotional immaturity and hereditary entitlement leads them to believe that so far Johnson’s government has behaved impeccably whilst in office.

  6. He absolutely needs to go.

As fun as it is seeing them plummeting in the polls, having this guy clinging on as PM is not worth the domestic damage and the international embarrassment.

    Get rid of him.

  7. Watch the Tories shoot back up in the polls if he’s replaced by someone vaguely credible

  8. Does the Queen have any power with this? Can she force Boris to resign? I know she probably never would anyway but I was wondering what the laws are with parliament here?

  9. I’m honestly surprised the amount of people who think tagging him out for another tory will improve anything.

  10. I hated Johnson anyway but those Tories partying when we couldn’t attend funerals?

Fuck them all. Not just Boris, the whole fucking lot. He’s just a symptom, they’re the rot.
