  5. Thank you for sharing this, such an interesting watch that I wish I’d seen sooner.

    It always strikes me as bonkers that an older generation, who used to warn us about speaking to strangers, telling us to be careful who we speak to online in chatrooms and the like, seem to be the ones that share the most of their personal life on Facebook. This left them all open to be targeted easily by these entities that use that data for their own gain.

    So – it linked to a German ZDF TV documentary that also featured Banks and found his connections to Russia highly suspect as was his non-producing diamond mine in South Africa. One US security expert described Banks as being a useful idiot to Russia. Cadwalladr featured also in the documentary.

    It’s not available any more but I’m sure the makers could provide a copy on request to Cadwalladr should it prove to contain helpful information.

    I found a copy on facebook but the mods removed it. Just do a google search on:

  8. Aaron Banks is an absolute shit and he 100% is a shit. If I met him I’d tell him to his face on any stage, TED Talk, included. That he’s taking umbrage to facts being mentioned about Brexit, Facebook and himself means he doesn’t really comprehend how much of an absolute shit he is, and I’ll troll him more for it. The shit.

    Also, he broke the law,lied, and because he has money, he’s able to bend weak people to his will. None of which distracts from the fact that he’s an absolute unpleasant shit in general. This will get moderated but fuck it: he’s a shit.

  9. This isn’t a SLAPP trial. Cadwalladr made factual statements regarding how Arron Banks paid for some of his political donations, and she has effectively admitted that they were false by dropping her truth defence to the claims by Banks. The one remaining question that hasn’t been decided is whether there was a public interest in Cadwalladr making the claims.
