6. It’s almost like responding to the violence of individual or small groups of militants by blindly attacking the entire civilian population does more harm than good. Its almost like that attack on civilians generates nothing but resentment and drives people further into radicalism. 

7. In totally unrelated news, there was a court case in Israel forcing ultra-Orthodox Jews (who are now about 25% of the fighting-age population) to be eligible for conscription even if they’d rather study the Torah.

8. Um. They didn’t pull out, they are shifting troops for more attacks. They (Israel) literally said this.
