This is how it begins. Mutant super swimmers.
Rather them than me… 💩
Hey, it’s the French. I’m not surprised.
Hasn’t swimming in the Seine been strongly discouraged for the past century specifically because of this?
The large project to build a reservoir for waste to divert pollutants from the river and make it clean is not done yet and is expected to be done before the Olympics so the water should be clean by then.
The headline and article makes it sound worse than it is.
Click bait none story TBH.
It’s almost as if using the river for human waste runoff is bad for the purity of the water
Grey water Poupon
Anyone who would swim in that river would be InSeine.
They talked about this whole thing when they announced the event. Nothing has changed it seems
Can a well traveled Euro tell me how the Seine compares to the Ohio? Because I know the Ohio and I know if I swam in it I might come out with 6 legs and a new butt
I cruised on the Seine two weeks ago. Even if it was clean, the river’s current is very strong.
I doubt pro swimmers would break any records there, compared to an Olympic pool.
I doubt they would want to swim in the Seine at all, as M. Macron said he would personally.
Get to swashing assholes
This entire tournament is looking like it’s going to be a massive joke. France completely failed when it came to organizing the Champions League final a couple of years ago, and they’re failing again with the Olympics. Something tells me it’s going to be a long time before they get to host a major international event again after this.
You can smell the Seine a good distance away. I’m not surprised in the slightest.
And the organization of the Olympics explicitly said they don’t have a plan B
I lived in Paris from 2-5 years old. I don’t remember much of it but one of the things I do remember is the sheer amount of dog crap all over the damn place. Has it changed since the 80s?
I bet that bacteria is also really arrogant. Like they metastasize unfiltered scarves.
