Then the Uk needs to agree to underwrite the loan. If the Europeans would agree to back the loan to Ukraine, all US aid would only be restricted by the willingness of the UK and EU to grantee a Ukrainian victory.
U.S aid is imperative to Ukraine winning this war. The EU and NATO can and have helped, but there is no country in the world with the quality of arms like the U.S. They could crush Russia with one arm tied in a conventional non nuclear war, particularly at the moment.
The only way the aid gets to Ukraine now and indeed in the coming years, is to have democrats in power after the next election. Those conscious and sensible traditional republican voters will need to put party allegiance to one side here. As shown, there isn’t another republican who can compete with Donny T and the maga lot. It’s a cult of personality and as someone from the U.K, we’ve seen it all to recently with Boris and our Brexit disaster.
If Donny gets in, the u.s.a instantly becomes more insular and it will slowly start to lose it’s soft power projection and trust from its allies. I cannot, for the love of me, understand why people vote for a complete egomaniac/sociopath liar. He did absolutely F all in his presidency, asides from shake a bigger tyrants hand over a border. What benefit did that end up having?
