The King is presented with bank notes featuring his portrait

The King welcomed Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey to Buckingham Palace, who presented him with the first bank notes featuring his portrait as monarch. The portrait of His Majesty which appears on the notes is based on a portrait that was provided by the Palace to the Bank of England.

  2. Germany is also missing a king. How wonderful it would be for the country if Germany had a king again. Bring the monarchy back to Germany… Prince Pi the first!!

The bank notes are very elegant, and His Majesty's image is very well done.

  5. Seriously, someone has GOT to get him another tie. He should have an endless supply! This one is cool but Jesus Christ, switch it up!!!!

  6. King Charles III, I pray for you and wish you many years on the Throne. Hope you live as long as your Mother, in good health after the Cancer is cleared up and continue to have such a lovely twinkle in the eye. God bless you.

  8. I’m Canadian and wonder if our dollars will feature the king as I’ve only know currency with QEII featured.

  9. Sweet, beautiful King Charles, ever working and doing all he can. I really loved this. And he complimented Sir Winston Churchill, not himself, when it came to the pictures on the notes. So humble.

  10. I'm suprised they didn't do this on May 5th, one month before they hit the atms and banks.
Hopefully, all the self-service checkouts are updated before the June 5th launch date.
