Chocolate prices soar this Easter | DW News

Anyone shopping for chocolate Easter eggs this year has probably noticed they’re more expensive than ever. That’s because the price of cocoa beans has soared to record highs. In West Africa, where most of the world’s cocoa is grown, farmers have seen three years of bad harvests. That has some in the industry warning of a “chocolate meltdown”.

  2. This Bloody Dirt Cacao from the Area in the Coast of Africa should be banned. Child Slavering can be no answer for allways get cheap cacao…Just buy Fairtrade from little Family Companys without the big cacao Industry which want make just Stockowners happy……on the Costs of young Generations in Country's where is never a way to come out the Poor Situations without to have a chance to change the bloody System…but We!!! can Change it….   3. Been stocking up tens of chocolate bars (over time, not spam buy) for a year and a half, happy to see I was right to do it. Sad to see it was necessary that early
