On a serious note: what a horrible greenwashing campaign. A new car (electric, ICE, or flintstones powered) generates several tons (TONS) of CO2 before it has moved even a meter on its wheels.
Making a system that is inefficient (2 tons of plastic, rubber, metal, etc.) to move a meatbag of 50-100kg) go electric merely changes the problem. Quite frankly, the gov shouldn’t even be encouraging new car sales but instead promote alternatives (e. g. Making them more reliable) and more ecological driving (driving your slightly older car will be more eco-friendly than buying a new one every few years)
He’s a member of the Green party if that helps.
Changing from system A to system B generates a shitload of money. That’s all it is about. It’s like that in every sector, be it transport, IT or whatever else.
Just change everything regularly and it will keep investors happy. Politicians are cheap sales people.
I can’t really take the Green Party in Luxembourg seriously after after I’ve seen one of their members which stands very high in the hierarchy roll up in a Mercedes S500.
