Always so funny to me watch how people are so quick and brave in insulting and mocking christians, even on tv, but when it comes to the peaceful religion everyone is quiet lol, I would keep quiet if you kept the same energy for them… I guess we are brave for some religions and cowards for others

    Btw, the ad doesn’t “replace communion with chips”. It shows a nun crunching into a chip while another receives communion. 

    Actually replacing communion with chips would have been funnier to me. I watched the video to see that but was disappointed.

  10. Can I just say that the communion at St. Dominic’s in Mississauga is legit delicious and I actually would buy it in a bag of chips style format as my go-to snack. I almost want to go to church just to eat that stuff. It’s gross everywhere else but St. Dominic’s is 5 star body of Christ.

  16. We are allowed to poke fun at religions. That’s what democracy allows us to do – state and religion are separate and your sky man is no more important to me than your communion bread is different from potato crisps. 

    TLDR: they can go F themselves, anybody can joke about religions. And that DOES mean ANY religion, btw.

  22. in Italy we have wages that have remained stagnant for 30 years, skyrocketing unemployment and corruption problems, but my country is more worried about an advertisement on crisps deemed “blasphemous”

We removed the blasphemy law in Ireland a few years ago, and are now replacing it with a hate speech law that basically expands the powers and definition of “woke blasphemy” way beyond anything dreamed of in the old blasphemy law. The maximum penalty under the old law was a small fine. The new one allows for jail, random searches of phones and computers on “suspicion” of blasphemy.
