  5. I see what looks like 2-3 friendly fire situations here but the smoke is confusing for sure. These people are idiots. Just absolute lemmings being pushed into a meat grinder.

  6. One of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV from the pov of pure entertainment also goes a long way to explaining why russians are still willing to die in Ukraine.

    It was that russian news show — RT? — with the panel of russians taking turns to rant and yell about the special operation.

    Anyhoo, they were all yelling at each other and looking for scapegoats to blame for russia doing so badly, when one truly nasty piece of work woman suddenly began denouncing all the others as disloyal.

    “You’re disloyal! And you’re disloyal! And you’re disloyal!”

    A true Oprah moment.

    Instantly the other presenters went bug-eyed and began hyperventilating with panic and terror, declaring themselves to be the most loyal and all the others to be disloyal.

    It was the funniest shitfest I’ve ever seen, and the first time I’ve seen a talk show host sweat that much on live television.

    My point is russians fear being accused of disloyalty to the regime — and the inevitable consequences of it — more than being blown up by Ukrainians.

  11. If it was the Commander of the attack in the lead tank then perhaps the shooter was saying a final ‘fuck you’ and finishing off the incompetent asshat. They way they just walk away from their wounded there is obviously no love for each other in the Russian Ghetto Army!

  12. I’m trying to wrap my head around the sustained loss of Russian armored and mechanized forces. Setting aside the loss of human life because Russians care less for their own than even I do, the sheer volume of tanks and troop carriers lost is staggering…especially when Russia insists it is supposed to be a bulwark against the West.

    You can’t be a bulwark against the West if all of your vehicles are smoldering ruins.

    So, why keep pushing a stalemate that depletes your most valuable assets?

    I have a sneaking suspicion that Vlad’s generals are lying to him about the cost in materiel so they don’t accidentally slip out of a window and that is why the war is continuing to be pushed despite its increasing push past the point of diminishing returns.

  16. I mean on this subreddit alone I have seen at least 300-400 destroyed, armored Russian vehicles. Given that I don’t visit every day and only a fraction is being recorded and showed, there have to be losses in the thousands … how can they sustain that kind of attrition is beyond my comprehension…

  19. Those are HE rounds and they miss over the friendly tank, but uh yeah, maybe don’t point the barrel at your friendly tank in the din of an assault

I thought that the Friendly Fire would have been more confusing, but he waited for the dust to clear before turning and sending a round into the back of the turret, looks almost intentional as the rear tank saw the lead tank turn around and head down the tree line. Unless it was called out as a Ukrainian tank under fog of war and fired upon, i think they killed their field commander and just said fuck this and fled.
