Hi everyone, soon I’ll be staying in Luxembourg for an internship, so I’ve read a lot about the different districts of the city.
I have a question about Neudorf: i know that it leads to Kirchberg, which is uphill, so [I’ve read](https://www.expatica.com/lu/moving/location/best-neighborhoods-in-luxembourg-city-103766/) that it gets less sun exposure than the other districts. Supposedly, it also explains why rents are relatively cheaper there.
It makes sense, but I was wondering whether some of you beatiful folks could confirm it and give your opinion on the magnitude of this lessened exposure, focussing on the spring\summer season.
Sorry for the stupid question and thank you very much!

Worrying about sun in Luxembourg is cute, really cute.
I live on rue de Neudorf. The street is one giant construction site. If you have a bedroom facing the street, forget sleeping from 5AM onwards. The trucks, cars and taxis racing down it is deafening. There are at least 10 construction sites on this road. Cannot wait to move!
What is this “sun” of which you speak? /s
I would not recommend living there if you have other options. It is darker indeed and extremely noisy.
Do you mean the rare yellow pokemon that appears in the sky once a year?
I’ve seen it twice since moving here, sadly I don’t have enough badges to train it.
I am at the top of Neudorf and I currently have 30 mins sun at this period. From Mai to September, I actually have it from 2pm to 7pm on one side, and the sunset on the other. So, it really depends at which level you will be and on which side.
I have seen some comments about the noise. Indeed, if you are facing the street, it might be noisy from the traffic, depending on where you are (the street is +3km long). The narrowest the worst I would say. About the planes, I personally don’t hear them during the summer even being outside with the trees making it soundproof (except the Cargos between 10pm and 11pm). Also no construction where I am.
So, I don’t think you can generalize and it surely varies according to the place.
