Too bad he avoided facing the justice system over his rape case.
Leaks about the Bush regime. he is a hero. Shows no favour and leaks about the Obama regime, enemy of the state.
Let’s hope so, this fucking guy has cost the taxpayer so much money with his fucking around.
9 years ago the amount stood at £10 million.
How long would he have gotten if he was arrested at the start?
The cloak and daggers surrounding how the Assange case has been handled from the beginning are disgusting.
Assange’s objection to Sweden’s EAW turned out to be completely right and justified: it was all a ploy to extradite him onward to the US, who didn’t want to prosecute him for sexual assault or rape, but for *attempting* (and failing) to *guess a password*… An allegation which wouldn’t be given the time of day were it not for the fact he exposed systemic illegal activity of the US military under Bush.
That said, I lost all respect for him over the proven partisan censoring in the leadup to the 2016 US presidential election, and I’m glad that going out of his way to help Trump get elected didn’t pay off for him.
We’ve dropped the case , don’t worry you won’t get arrested, honest 😂
Good.
Far too much British & USA taxpayers money and law enforcement time has been wasted on him.
I frequented Wikileaks numerous times between 07-10 and somewhat know the background of the case, but I do not understand why it has taken five years to get to this point.
The US surely would have immediately ruled out capital punishment as soon as they sought extradition, everyone knew there was no chance of extradition without that commitment.
My impression is that it’s a poor reflection on our legal system.
Remind me again why people want him released again?. Sounds like he broke the law big-time
Why are we even holding him? Just let him go free and let the US or Australia deal with it. Not our problem.
We should ask for compensation from the USA for all the legal costs the UK taxpayer has footed!
After you’ve ruined his life and turned him into a suicidal mess
Why wait until this year….oh yeah…..Gotta buy votes.
