  8. Most states are “At will” employment meaning either party can terminate employment at any time for any reason, barring a few very specific circumstances like being a member of a protected class or retaliation for whistleblowing. That type of stuff.

    I would assume they probably hire in California and California is an at-will state. She really has no grounds here.

  13. This kind of lawsuit is the very definition of punching above your weight class. Disney has often been described as a legal office with an entertainment division. They’re very litigious and they can fucking bury you. And in this case they’re completely in the right

  18. I mean, if theres a clause in your contract that stipulates the way you can behave as a representative of a brand, and you sign it, then you have to adhere to what it says. Dont be surprised if they fire you.

As a private company, Disney also enjoy freedom of speech and are well within their rights not to renew Carano’s contract, thereby distancing themselves from this nitwit if they don’t want to be associated with her and her intellectual diarrhoea.
