  1. I’m still rocking a belt I got in freshers too

    In 2005

That belt has seen some shit.

  2. I hope you’re holding up well at this difficult time. Because your trousers certainly aren’t

  3. I have a Rifle belt I bought when I was about 15. It’s still going strong 30 years or so later.

11 years for a top man belt is an achievement for sure.

  4. I still have my wallet I bought from Next at least 20+ years ago.

Ok, so it’s not a belt. Nor from Topman. Nor associated with uni. But it’s a cool story, man. I think I shall be cremated with it. Nice bit of jerky for the attendees.

  5. Pathetic! I threw out my Topman belt, bought in 2003 in my last month’s as a student, only last year. The leather had dried and cracked to a rather extreme level.

  6. Top fashion tip: use elastic bands tightly wound around the belt to replace the broken loop.

  7. as long as the pants have belt loops this still works

  8. Damn I’ve got a belt that’s seen at least 15 years of near daily use and it’s still going strong

  9. I had a Next one for at least 20 years. I wore it at least four times a week, The buckle part failed eventually. I fear my expanding waistline was the major factor in this and my unwillingness to move up a notch.

  10. Pretty sure I have this exact belt, still using it.

  11. I’m wearing a belt right now that is just over 20 years old. The leather has started to crack a bit superficially but it’s still good! It came from next as well so not some high end thing. I don’t think I’ll ever have a belt at that price point of better quality.

  12. I’m still wearing a Topman leather belt I bought in 1991. I don’t think vegan leather would last anywhere near as long.

  13. Topman and River Island must have been rubbing their hands the day the student loan payments landed

  14. *nervously looks at identical 11 year old Topman belt currently holding up my jeans
