Companies better be diversifying their supply chains away from SE Asia and the South China Sea. Everyone seems to be making moves that telegraph they think that pot is going to boil over at some point. I hope I‘m wrong and this comment ages like milk.

Only superior violence can “counter” someone’s military. Economic sanctions will not work because China can be its own suppliers and customers.
It is kind of freaky to me to see the USA, Australia, and India as Japan’s allies considering the Japanese murdered over 30,000,000 Chinese civilians, killed in combat about 800,000 USA military troops, and about 90,000 Australian troops; the USA set on fire about 380,000 Japanese civilians.
Good gods, human history is bizarre.
He needs the positive PR to distract from the corruption scandal he’s mired in here in Japan.
