This is well overdue. Giving paid leave to women who suffer early miscarriages or need access to reproductive treatment is vital.
Abortions should be added as well as miscarriage. They’re traumatic experiences too. Nobody wants to be in a position to have to have one.
How the fuck isn’t this already thing
I really don’t like this bill.
I think it’s important that people be able to take leave while unable to work. Many many employees have no paid sick leave and illness benefit only pays after the 6th day.
GP’s certifying that you need time off (for reasons of mental or physical health) could cover miscarriage and preganacy loss. For many it already did with gps providing certs for women.
This hiving off particular “good” reasons for leave while ignoring chefs working while running to the jacks is wrong. And I think is embraced by government because it’s cheaper than introducing proper illness benefit and sick leave.

So the fetus is a person….when it’s convenient.
So glad to see this. It’s about time.
