  1. Another day, another violent assault in Dublin. Gardaí have lost control.

  2. That headline will get shabby and worn out soon, from overuse. I suppose they have plenty of replacements in the stationery cupboard.

  3. Dublin as safe as ever again so. Two other serious assaults in the past ten days or so, but not as much reporting on it.

Simon and Co. will have to get the PR team together again and completely assure us that, if anything, Dublin is the safest place in Ireland and anyone that says otherwise is spreading ‘misinformation’.

  4. Why does the government continue to do fuck all about this.it’s disgusting and Ireland is rotting away.we will lose our Ireland forever if it’s not sorted now

  5. Until they remove violent offenders from the streets and keep them locked up until they’re fully reformed or no longer capable of losing a threat, this terror against innocent people will continue.

  6. Things will get better when the Gardaí are doing their mandatory 30 minutes of road traffic duty every shift.

  7. “How can we be lovers, if we can’t be friends . . .”

  8. “Another man assaulted in Clondalkin”

    FTFY

“in Dublin” would lead you to believe it’s O’Connell or Grafton Street – I’m sorry but Clondalkin is County Sublin at a push but it’s a far cry from actual Dublin City centre or the rest of the city and county. It’s like saying a car accident in Rathmore I’d another blow to Cork.

  9. Helen better get her high heels on and go for a walk with her armed guards, then she can tell us how safe dublin is,

  10. Assault in Dublin becoming daily occurances in the news is like our micro form of US shootings

  11. This is what happens with Judge Nolan’s favorite thing. You get a reduced sentence! YOU get a reduced sentence! Everyone gets a reduced sentence!

This shit will only get worse. I worry for innocent people living in this mess areas.

  12. The hollowing out of a European capital city continues.

We’re fighting against each other about this, that and the other but this shit was never here to the extent it is now.

Then all of a sudden it’s Ukrainians are coming in, women and children, fleeing from war, cool, that’s fine, we’ll help.

Then they’re not all Ukrainians, it’s chancers, ripping up passports on arrival, jumping into the country and playing deaf and dumb.

Population increased and overwhelmed Gardai coupled with citizens being forced to just deal with it causes anger.

We had our chance to nip this in the bud, now this is the shithole situation we find ourselves in.

If there’s not a gigantic riot this summer I’ll be very surprised.

  13. Helen will be out on one of her sponsored walks with more Garda surrounding her than there is actually patrolling the streets. How that clown kept her job is an embarrassment

  14. Same area that the Croatian guy was murdered last week?!

  15. As we head back into the summer, I imagine the assaults on tourists will be on the rise again therefore we’ll start seeing them report assaults again

  16. It’s OK. As part of his prioritisation of “law & Order”, Helen is being asked to stay on due to the blinder she’s being playing these past few years.
