My daughter enjoys The Clangers even now. Narrated these days by the wonderful Sir Michael Palin.
These are really great, nice work!
It’s still on mate, my little girl loves it.
Very nice. I wish Oliver Postgate had been immortal and ruled the universe.
All Hail the Iron Chicken!
My little cousin watches it, I think it’s a good kid’s show
I realise this isn’t r/crochet but pattern please!! They’re so cute!
oh, so cute
oh, so cute
They were grey when I watched them.
My little one who’s only 19 months really seems to enjoy it and with its bitesize episodes it’s ideal!
All hail the Soup Dragon
Anyone remember when channel 4 had a show called the trip on late Friday or Saturday night about twenty or twenty five odd years ago? Right after the trip which was dance music put over freaky old films of space and old hospitals from the 50s and 60’s and straight after that the clangers. So in from the club chewing the face off yourself few smokes when the clangers came on twas time for bed. Say what you like they knew their audience lol.
Fantastic work, well done
I got them on DVD for some nostalgia.
They’re Clanger-tastic….
Aww they are so cute! I love them
You **claim** that you crocheted them but I see no evidence that these are not **real** Clangers who I think are endangered. Shame on you if you are partaking in illegal trade of endangered mythical creatures.
These are wonderful! Lovely work that captures the Clanger feel.
the noises they made were both so annoying and so fascinating haha
I remember as a child having no idea what was going on.
There’s a new series on CBeebies
These are Fantastic! Fair play! I have the knit your own clanger book somewhere, looked at the patterns and was like…balls to that, I’ll stick to making awful jumpers!
I also have a few dvds of the original series, from what I gathered every problem can be solved with soup. A philosophy I still continue to this day.
Very good indeed.
The Clangers IMHO should be celebrated as a national treasure.
As should Oliver Postgate and Ivor Wood
Brilliant! Perfect!
For your next project, the Soup Dragon, perhaps?
The Clangers are mint. I am sure they used to swear their heads off.
I’m too young to remember the original clangers but my son loves the new ones on cbeebies. He was very excited when I showed him this picture its hard to find clanger teddies lol
