The git admits that had she actually been 18, forcing his presence on her as he did would have been completely legitimate. This is the sort of poisonous and entitled thinking which if left unchecked often results in very serious harm to women and girls, and which contributes to the low background hum, always with us, which makes us wary and ill at ease as a matter of course.

This guy sounds touched in the head, and I’m disgusted that someone like him lives among us. Also, I was assaulted similarly when I was 15 and 13 years later I still feel shame and disgust at myself about it – he’s fucked her up probably forever, all for what? For some a hand on the thigh might not seem like a grave act, but the sense of violation, lack of safety and autonomy stays with you.
