RTE ran a “story” yesterday which looks suspiciously like a free advertisement for a business run by the child of one of their affiliated journalists. Great work by our National Broadcaster & great use of Licence Money

    edit: ok I googled it. help a man to fish etc. so yer one is chupi sweetman? her mother is rosita sweetman, a journalist I see. but I fail to see how she’s ‘affiliated’ to RTE.

14. I’ve seen that brand name so much on news media here. Either on radio or TV. I’ve wondered before how they can afford that kind of ‘PR’ if they are such a small company. Connections

17. I knew this story was bullshit and just assumed RTE was hard up for fluff stories. Fuck sake. 

18. Not fully related, but I was searching for a necklace to buy the wife for Christmas a few years ago, and am almost certain that is the same place I saw selling an old 1p coin on a necklace for around €400!

19. This Chupi controversy only bodes well for Chupi.
