Mars – Life on the Red Planet? | DW Documentary
In February 2021, the robot “Perseverance” landed successfully on Mars. However, this success was never a given. The film shows the difficult work involved in developing the robot, right up to its successful landing.
The new robot NASA sent to Mars is called “Perseverance”. Its mission? To search for evidence of past life on the Red Planet – an important and ambitious endeavor. It took years to design the space probe and its small helicopter drone, called “Ingenuity”. This documentary follows the rover’s development, right up to its landing in the Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021.
The mission proved to be a complete success: the robot landed safely and all the instruments on board functioned smoothly. As a result, “Perseverance” was able to deliver high-resolution images of Mars. But getting there was an arduous journey for all involved.
On site, “Perseverance” takes samples from the crater, which scientists believe was once a river delta. Geological traces of past life – so-called biosignatures – could be hidden in the rock. Eventually, these samples will be brought back to Earth for analysis. Among other things, they could provide insights into possible life on Mars.
The four-pound mini-helicopter “Ingenuity”, which traveled in the belly of the rover, is now carrying out a series of test flights. These are the first of their kind to be undertaken on another planet. Another task of “Perseverance” is to test an innovative technology for extracting oxygen from the atmosphere. It is hoped that the gas can be used as fuel — or to supply oxygen for future manned flights to Mars.

We do already! The International Space station, operating since November 2000. 24 years of continuous human presence, living in Space. Multiple nations, both male and female.
NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Humans are made for this planet, all will be revealed after death. I believe that God will show us all his other creations after we die. But only if we pass the test in this short life on this planet.
I'm not excited at all,
even if technically humans can immigrate to Mars, it's going to take a few decades for that to happen,
and even if it does, it's not something that ordinary people like us can enjoy and experience.
We already live in space, everything exists within the membrane* of 'space'.
Except our 'vessel' is a living planet called Earth.
*Space warps and 'bends', which makes it a medium/membrane.
Amazing
Humans already went there a long time ago
we do live in space 🙄
Earth is flat and nothing go out of the firmament.
These are all lies
So long as the world keeps worshiping at the alter of diversity, there will be no achievements in the realm of space travel or exploration.
Could you imagine the lengths and bounds the human race would be if all these resources were instead invested in this planet first? Oh my 😮
Living in space? In this economy?
Too much radiation too
We already live in space.
Never
Mars has little atmosphere and no magnetic shield which means there's nothing to protect people from lethal radiation or asteroids from hitting the planet at full force.
The planet we are on right now is literally perfect. How about we just look after it. I know, crazy right? 🤯
Probably never, it's just too cost prohibitive.
We are already living in space on a planet called Earth.
Everyone is soo focused on Mars and its mythos which captivates the mind we ignore the much more suitable neighbor, Venus. We think too terrestrial…. the atmosphere is thicker on Venus thus easier to float and fly and the weather is 20 C 4km off the surface, gravity is similar and actually has an usable atmosphere that would protect us from more of the Sun harmful effects than Mars…. Also Venus is closer to Earth than Mars. You could walk around the Venus atmosphere at 4km with respirator without a full spacesuit….
Mars – Life on the Red Planet? | DW Documentary 12.4.24 with all these alt science notions re: plasma ball moon, the sun being essentially a cold body brought into life by the environment it finds itself to be situated in, to the flat earthers and their insistence such skits as this are fraudulent… al i can say is: it's all good fun. yer either gonna have to cycle round the globe and get back to me or just take it as read that they've (menfolk) stood on the moon and now endeavour to travel to mars where, obviously, life once flourished…
Thats nice
An 8 year old kid in Virginia named it Perseverance. He won a NASA competition to decide the rover's name.
What thay are searching there
Most scientists does not believe in God and eveything was formed in an accident like in real life accident is chaos and not organize but they diverted it to nothing then back up it. Human minds are limited and weak it is Biblical! If you think you can live in mars that is totally illusional by demons and there was life in mars before that is deceived by evil mind.
Amzing
DW Always best
I'm happy here on earth,i would never go somewhere else.
Land Mass vs open space: what a gravitational mess!
A lot of the things that we take for granted today are because of going to space. Also there are so many independent variables of events that could end life as we know it and we have no control over it. Should we take care of our planet? Absolutely but we shouldn’t resist to advance as a civilization.
When the longermism is reality.
