Russian tank losses are almost equal to the number of active tanks they had before the invasion

  1. Before anybody comments that “Destroyed + damaged + abandoned + captured” does not equal the total losses column, it is because I update those columns less frequently than I update the total losses column.

All loss data comes from Oryx.

  2. Russia single-handedly has changed the doctrine of modern war’s thinking on the effectiveness of tanks after being so ineffective. If anything, Russia has done the West a huge favor by testing out modern combat on a large scale and proving/disproving modern tactics.

  3. What I don’t understand is if they still have hundreds of t80s in reserve, why are they sending early soviet era tanks?

I mean, I know the answer will be because they’re not in operational condition but wanted to ask

  4. Are there no visually verified losses for the T-55? I remember seeing a video on DroneCombat or CombatFootage mentioning that one had been seen and destroyed/disabled.
