Any idea how to fix this leak

So I tried to turn off the water to my sink, unfortunately, when I turned what I thought was the shut off valve. Water sprayed everywhere.

I have now turned the water for my house off, but the valve thread doesn't seem to want to realign and there's no other cut off. Any advice or do I just have to wait for the morning and call a plumber?
